James (Jim) S. Addison, Founder and President
Jim Addison is President of JSA Energy, LLC a consulting and advisory firm he founded in 2019.
He was named Chief Executive Officer of Hawkwood Energy, LLC in March 2020 and guided the company to a successful merger with WildFire Energy in August 2021. Prior to Hawkwood, he was a founder of Travis Peak Resources and served as President and Chief Executive Officer from November 2013 until its combination with Paloma Partners LLC in February 2019.
Mr. Addison has more than 38 years of industry experience in the upstream and midstream energy sectors across multiple U.S. basins. He started his career with Amoco Production Company in 1986. Following Amoco, he spent several years with Mitchell Energy and Coastal Oil & Gas Corp. Mr. Addison joined Newfield Exploration Company in 2000. Over his 13-year career at Newfield, he worked in all three domestic business units (Houston, Tulsa, and Denver) and served in a variety of technical and leadership roles including General Manager for the Mid-Continent and Rockies Business Units. Mr. Addison left Newfield in 2013 and established Travis Peak Resources, LLC.
Mr. Addison has served on multiple boards of directors of companies, including roles as Chairman, Compensation, Audit and Reserves Committee member. He currently serves on the board of Canvas Energy and WildFire Energy and Faulconer Energy.
Mr. Addison is a 1985 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering.
